Price Pearson Appoints New Team Of Directors
After a year of continued expansion, leading chartered accountancy practice, Price Pearson, has appointed four new directors to its board, bringing with them specialist knowledge to further strengthen its existing team and provide clients with the best possible guidance and advice.

Neil Warren has joined the company as a Director specialising in VAT. After beginning his career in 1983 where he spent 14 years as an inspector in HM Customs and Excise, Neil has gone on to become one of the leading VAT advisers in the country – a reputation which has led to him winning Taxation Awards Tax Writer of the Year in 2008. He was also the author of Tolley’s annual VAT Planning book from 2005 to 2012 and has been closely involved with HMRC on a number of VAT policy issues. Neil’s advice is invaluable to the practice and he will be working with clients to simplify complex VAT problems on land, property and international trading, construction services and partial exemption.

Mark Squibb rejoined the company after a four year hiatus. He began his career at Price Pearson in 2005 where he progressed over an eight year period, but left in 2013. However, he was approached by the board to return and has now been appointed a Director, specialising in Corporate Tax and R&D tax relief. He brings with him a wealth of experience and has already developed excellent relationships with his clients.

Samantha Brady has also joined the board of directors after being with the company for 15 years. Samantha started her career in 1992 and has developed a strong technical accounting knowledge. Now holding the Technical Director position, Samantha supports the accounting team specialising in financial reporting, UK GAAP, Charity SORP and is also responsible for the quality assurance.

Finally, Price Pearson has appointed Jennifer Long as IT Director. She began her career with the company 25 years ago and initially qualified as an Accounting Technician while running the management accounts department. During this time she demonstrated a flair for digital software and was integral in the design, selling and supporting of the company’s first software product ‘TaxShield P11D Manager’.

After achieving further qualifications and graduating with a Diploma in Direct and Digital Marketing, Jennifer formed IceBlue and its specialist division, IceBlue Digital. This partnership has improved technical efficiencies within the practice, with Jennifer communicating technical information in layman’s terms to the board and she is now taking its IT to Microsoft Cloud to ensure it is more secure, more efficient and will make sure the practice stays ahead in an ever changing digital landscape.

David Price, Chairman at Price Pearson, comments: “As an ever evolving accountancy practice, it is vital we continue to strengthen our service to clients and to do this, we appoint the best people within their chosen field. As a business, we sell knowledge so we reinvest in our team of specialists to ensure we continue to learn and provide the best possible service. These latest appointments further demonstrate our determination to add true expertise to our practice to enable us to continue to offer the best possible service to our clients in what is going to be a very challenging environment in the digital age.”
